crowded?

Hi

I am taking my husband to Brussels for his birthday as a surprise for one night two weeks from now. We are arriving on Saturday and leaving on Sunday night. How busy is Brussels during weekends this time of year? I am asking especially because I am not sure whether I should book a table at a restaurant or will we be able to just arrive and be sitted? I am not sure we would want dinner after probably eating all those delicious belgium delights and therefore, not sure if I want to book anything.

I%26#39;ll be greatful for any advice.

Thanks

Don%26#39;t book if you don%26#39;t want to, you will always find somewhere to eat, especially if you go before 8: most restaurants open at 7. If you get stuck, you can always find a space at Amadeo, an all-you-can-eat ribs (and some other things) place in rue Ste. Catherine, because it is huge. Also, if you wander around Ste. Catherine there are quite a few restaurants so your chances of finding somewhere are increased. Stay away from the rue des Bouchers, though, except for the well-established standards recommended on here (Aux Armes de Bruxelles, Chez Léon..).

Thanks very much for the advice. I was actually thinking of having dinner at either Aux Armes de Bruxelles or Scheltema so we will take our chance and arrive before 8pm so we can get a table quickly.
