Brussels in two weeks,Good idea????

hi

I recently broke my ankle playing football and am now off work but well on the mend and most importantly pain free. So the girlfriend and I were just about to book 3 nightsin brussels stopping in the Bedford Hotel %26amp; Congress Centre from the 26th to the 29th may. We then realised that it is a bank holiday weekend and woundered if this was a good idea as the girlfriend wanted to do some shopping.

Will shops be open sunday/monday ect..?

Will all tourist places be closed sunday/monday?

Will resturants be booked up when we arrive for the weekend?

any reply would be great Thanks

Shops will be open Saturday as normal, closed Sunday as normal and closed Monday for the bank holiday, therefore shopping wll have to be done on Saturday - except for art and antiques/decorating shops in the Sablon/Marolles areas, between the antiques market and the flea market, which remain open on Sundays (closed Mondays).

Museums will be open Saturday and Sunday as usual, and closed on Monday as usual. Other %26quot;tourist places%26quot; are likely to be open on both Sunday and Monday - the Atomium certainly is, for instance, also Mini-Europe (Heysel).

Restaurants in the city centre will be largely unaffected by Pentecost (Whit Sunday/Monday), you are bound to find somewhere to eat on all 3 days although you might want to choose somewhere for Sunday lunch in advance and pass by to make a booking. Or just leave it in case you prefer brunch at a café or something. I like this place and it is open 7/7:
