Cigarettes,Whisky & Wine!!

Hi Everyone,

Please could you help a booze cruise novice!

We are looking into doing a mini cruise to Zeebrugge to buy some cigarettes, whisky %26amp; wine.

We plan to take our car and will only have a day in port to shop.

Any tips please on the best places to go without having to drive too far , and indeed all tips and helpful information to make the most of our time (apart from the shopping!) would be most welcome.

There are no hypermarkets at Zeebrugge like you find in Calais, and the local GB is a %26quot;Contact GB%26quot; which means it is relatively small.

This list is of salespoints for De Lijn bus tickets, many of which are newsagents, but it happens to include the addresses of many supermarkets in the area, in particular the Delhaize at Sint-Kruis. Delhaize is very good for wine (there is also one at Adinkerke near the border with France, and this one is apparently open on Sundays.

I think the biggest supermarkets in the area, not listed in the aformentioned website, would be the (French) Carrefours, e.g. at St. Kruis/Brugge. For branches of Carrefour, see map on www.hypercarrefour.be/Shopsearch_1.cfm…

Otherwise, I imagine most people in search of a hypermarket will be driving across the border to Auchan in Ronq (near Lille and about 1 hour from Zeebrugge) or the one at Grande Synthe, off the A16 near Dunkerque, see boozecruise.com/shop_guide/dunkerque_auchan.…

Mind you, I imagine all the experts will be on the %26quot;cruise%26quot; with you.
