Any information on the following would be greatly appreciated:
1. Is is better to take a taxi or the train from the airport to the Novotel hotel?
2. Where can you get the train schedules from the Gare Central to (a) Leuven and (b) Bruges? We need to know cost and times (after a few Safirs, we don%26#39;t want to miss a train).

1. It depends on how much luggage you have and which Novotel you are staying at. Novotel Brussels Off Grand Place in rue du Marché aux Herbes is only 5 minutes walk down the hill from Gare centrale. Novotel Brussels Centre in rue de la Vierge Noire would require a change to the metro from Gare centrale or tram from Gare du Nord/Gare du Midi. I would suggest you google for a website showing location of your hotel.
2. http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/ indicating (from) Bruxelles-central and (to) Leuven or Brugge - the system will ask you to confirm the latter because there is another station in Brugge but this is the one you want.
