You are in the wrong forum, but having looked at the Charleroi forum (tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g188646-i2997-Char…) I can see why! Unlike other forums, the Charleroi one doesn%26#39;t list %26quot;Charleroi attractions%26quot;, presumably because no TA members have ever recommended any.

The words %26quot;fabulous%26quot; and Charleroi, which is a depressed industrial city, don%26#39;t generally go together although it does have a good glass museum and a photography museum. These and more are listed on here charleroi.be/SiteResources/…

Charleroi Airport is in the suburb of Gosselies, a 10-minute bus ride from Charleroi%26#39;s Gare du Sud. If your flight is leaving after 20.00 I think you might have to eat at the airport as you will want to start queuing up for check in around 18.00 and restaurants don%26#39;t tend to open for dinner before 19.00. I am sure there must be a taverne or something somewhere in the neighbourhood, serving things like omelette and chips all day long, but unfortunately don%26#39;t know where. If you are staying in Charleroi in previous days, presumably you can find out then. Anyway, the airport has a canteen-like restaurant that serves quite decent canteen-like food, I had an excellent home-made soup there the only time I flew out of Charleroi. (Or rather, the only time I TRIED to fly out of Charleroi, the Ryanair flight was cancelled owing to fog and Charleroi Airport won%26#39;t have the necessary equipment to handle low visibility until the Spring of 2008!)
