Family weekend in February

Hi

Any ideas of an itinerary for 2 adults with 10 year old daughter staying in Brugge for 3 nights. Husband likes belgian beer, are the breweries worth a visit? What about chocolate factory?

Daughter is vegetarian, any good restaurants in Brugge with veggie menu?

Any advice appreciated.

Ps Travelling by Eurostar from London. Is the exchange at Brussels problem free?

Hi,

Afraid no ideas on veggie or kiddy friendly restaurants but the eurostar journey is definatley problem free. Brugges is also a beautiful city and would very much reccomend the river cruises. Also beware of the locals reccomendations of the beer. my legs stopped working after a chat and drink with a few of them!!!

Thanks Phil appreciate the advice, will definitely try the beer now!!!! Maybe not, drunk in charge of a child may be an offence.

Seems as though daughter may have to survive on chips and mayo (I don%26#39;t think she will be terribly disappointed at that!)

Hi

you can pick up a free restaurant guide at the tourism office, which has information on vegetarian restaurants in Brugge !

Have fun

Thanks for your advice I%26#39;ll have to make a stop there!

horse and carriage rides are lovely my daughter loved it!, also there is a kid friendly burger place on the main square called quick burger, its fast food junk but actually the burgers are gorgeous!.

we let the kids have one chocolate from each chocolate shop we passed, it was fun, and amazing how quick they got sick of chocs!, our boy and girl aged 4 and 8 loved bruges, and we are also returning in feb, sadly the boudewijn seapark will not be open, but if you go back try it its a good value fun day out, also the seaside town of de hann, is great in the summer only 10 mins away, have fun!

ooooops, just read some of your other replys, didnt pay attention to the %26quot;vegetarian%26quot; part...forget the burger idea, sorry!

Not aware of any veggie restaurants but plenty of veggie options, especially if she eats fish (wait for the %26quot;but then she%26#39;s not a veggie torrent of abuse%26quot;)

At Brussels (Zuid/Midi) come off the Eurostar platform, take the lift on hte far side of the hall down one level and then head into the underground concourse. Trains for Brugge are frequent - at least 4 an hour. The best/quickest are the IC trains to Oostende. Generally platforms 10-14. They all stop at Ghent - also great for a days visit as the shopping is excellent. Estar tix include the Brussels - Brugge leg.
