Thalys from Brussels to Paris.

We will be taking the Thalys from Brussels to Paris after arriving at the Charleroi airport. What is the easiest way to get to the Midi station? Is it possible to buy the Thalys ticket at the station, or does this need to be done in advance? The website is asking for a location in Belgium for the ticket to be delivered. How is this done if we do not live in Belgium? Any advice would be appreciated!

The easiest way from Charleroi Airport to Brussels is by the %26quot;Ryanair%26quot; coach, which costs 11 EUR per person and takes 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. It stops right outside the Gare du Midi.

You have to reserve Thalys tickets in advance, so if you don%26#39;t want to buy from the Thalys website - I think you can arrange to pick up the tickets at the station in Brussels - you would need to buy them from a travel agent or something in the U.S. I thought someone said they COULD get Thalys tickets delivered to the U.S. but perhaps that was Eurostar. I believe it may be for this reason that people buy from the U.S. website eurorail.com, but check their prices as they are sometimes way out of line with the normal price, they only sell the most expensive tickets anyway..

You CAN sometimes buy a Thalys ticket up to an hour or so before the departure of the train, but for the cheaper tickets you would have to have booked at least 2 weeks in advance, and of course you run the risk that there will be no room on the train you want.

When you reserve your Thalys tickets thru the thalys.com website, you can choose to pick up your Thalys ticket at the station in Bruxelles Midi (or any other station in Belgium). Just make sure you have the reservation number with you and the credit card you used for your online reservation.
