I will be in Brussels in March and would love to take a day trip to see a castle (or even several!). I will not have a car, though. Can this be done by train, or is it better to try to find a bus tour. What locations would you recommend?

I don%26#39;t know of any organised bus tours to Belgian castles, so you would be limited to those that are in towns reachable by train, like Ghent and the citadels of Dinant and Namur; also Beersel and Gaasbeek are within relatively easy reach of public transport from Brussels. Suggest you select from www.eupedia.com/belgium/belgian_castles.shtml (and check opening hours as some may not be open until April anyway).
