Arriving in Brussels by train from Amsterdam in the afternoon for one night stay in June. I need to be at the International airport the following morning at 10:30. Any suggestions for a 4/5 star hotel with a convenient access to the airport? Would I be better off just staying at an airport hotel and going to the city for the night? What should I go see that would beckon me back to Brussels? My interests: architecture, gardens, animals, food and wine, sexy people (Not necessarily in that order)

If you don%26#39;t have to be at the airport until 10.30 you can stay just about anywhere in Brussels, the train to the airport only takes 20 minutes or so. From gare centrale (you can also leave from gare du midi and gare du nord), trains depart at 9:39 arr. 9:56, 9:52 arr. 10:08, 10:02 arr. 10:24 and 10:16 arr. 10:34.
You don%26#39;t say which train you are on from Amsterdam, but if it is the Intercity you can get off at any of Brussels%26#39; 3 stations, I would recommend Gare centrale and then stay at any of the hotels in that area e.g. the Méridien just across the road from the station, in order to be close to the Grand%26#39; Place, Galeries St. Hubert etc. If you will be on Thalys you have to get off at Gare du midi but can change to a local train to Gare centrale.
If you think it necessary to stay at the airport, there is only one hotel right across the road from the terminal, which is the Airport Sheraton. Others are in Zaventem and Diegem, they may run shuttles to the airport but won%26#39;t be very convenient for getting into Brussels itself.
