Markt? Market?

Can someone please clarify something for me. I want to go to the Belfry tower and go on a horse and carriage ride. Are they both in the same square and is that called Markt?

Also, where are the market stalls based and what days is it open? Going this weekend and very confused so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it!!

Thanks!

The belfry (belfort in Dutch) is indeed by the square called Markt, which means market place. Unless something has changed, the horse and carriage rides start from the nearby square called Burg, where the tourist information office is, see hotels-belgium.com/brugge/map-marketplace-ho…

There are markets in Brugge on Wednesday mornings in the square called Markt and on Saturday mornings in %26#39;t Zand square and Beursplein (literally, stock market square).

Yes, the Belfry and the carriage rides are right next to each other
