Hello,
My sister and I are traveling to Europe this summer. Is one European city cheaper to fly into than another??
I guess I should say, we can leave from Memphis, TN, or airports 100 or so miles away! Even Tampa, ST. Pete, or Orlando, FL where my sister lives. One of us will have to travel to the others state to fly together to Europe....my sister will not have it any other way! I lost her once in Amsterdam and she just about had a nervous breakdown before I found her!
Anyway, we want to fly to some European city preferably Eastern. From there we want to rent a car, make a bee-line for the Netherlands for a couple of days (beach area), then into the wild blue yonder in search of places we have not been for about 10 days. No hotels, no set game plan, just drive and see. This is how we travel. Just that the airfare is killing us!!
We do not mind stopping once to change planes, etc. We always try to leave in the middle of the week and come back about 10-12 days later.
Have passports, will travel is out motto....
Thanks, any advice is appreciated!

You have to ask this question in the States, if it were the other way around I could only identify Orlando as a destination for cheap flights from Europe but Brussels Airport%26#39;s website shows no scheduled flights there, so these are only charter flights for package tours and I doubt that you can get on those coming the other way. As you want to start your trip in the Netherlands I would advise you to start by looking for flights to Amsterdam Schiphol, e.g. on www.skyscanner.com, and probably from major INTERNATIONAL U.S. airports like Atlanta, Washington, JFK, Newark, Miami, to which I am sure you can find connecting flights from Memphis and Orlando, or wherever.
You can fly to Brussels from Atlanta with United Airlines, American Airlines, SN Brussels (Brussels Airlines from March 25th) and Delta, via JFK and with Continental via Newark.
I also don%26#39;t know why people who don%26#39;t want to do the research themselves don%26#39;t seem to consider asking a travel agent!!
