Hello,
Can anyone reccommend a nice quiet, clean ,medium class hotel near to the station where the Eurostar train stops?
Husband and I would like a couple of nights in Brussels in the Spring
Many thanks for any help you could offer.

I really would not advise you to stay near the station where the Eurostar train arrives, which is Gare du Midi. One side of the station is a concrete jungle and the rest of the area is run-down and horrible, although slated for redevelopment at some stage. I really do not think you will enjoy your stay in Brussels very much if you stay in that area, but if you absolutely must, perhaps owing to very late arrival or early departure, the best option is probably the Ibis Brussels Centre (NB THIS PART OF ITS TITLE IS A LIE!!) Gare du Midi:

This Ibis hotel, on the corner of rue d%26#39;Angleterre and Avenue Fonsny, is just across the road from the exit from the Gare du Midi that is at the opposite side of the station from the Eurostar Terminal (Eurostar platforms are 1 and 2, I think the last one on the Avenue Fonsny side is 17).
What I would advise you to do instead is to take a local train one stop to Gare centrale and stay around there, as it is just 5 minutes walk from the Grand%26#39; Place, Galeries St. Hubert, etc. If the Méridien Hotel, opposite the station, is too expensive for you, there are plenty of other options which you will find under %26quot;Brussels Hotels%26quot; in the list on the left, e.g. the Novotel %26quot;Off Grand%26#39; Place%26quot; or, if you prefer a small hotel, the Madeleine.

Dear Gaminari
That is most helpful, thank you very much.
Kind regards
