Hello! I will be staying in Brussels from 13 March through 16 March, and am planning an entire two week trip for my best friend and I. However, I am having trouble finding day trips from Brussels that are running during the time we will be there!
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Also suggestions for trips in Brussels would be well appreciated!! :)
Thanks so much in advance!!

I presume you are talking about organised coach tours. It is true that some (Waterloo...) don%26#39;t start till 26 March, but as you are only here for 4 days (which may leave only 2 clear days for coach trips), you can easily do the ones to Brugge and, say, Antwerp:
brussels-city-tours.com/engels/engframes.htm
You also don%26#39;t say when the 2 week-trip would be.
Anyway, as you can see from previous questions in this forum, you can easily catch a train from Brussels to many other places. Which places you might want to visit depend on your interests and perhaps the time of year when you are here, e.g. I wouldn%26#39;t bother with Namur and Dinant in the depths of winter but they are charming in the summer.

Thank you so much for your quick reply! :) The information is very useful and I will absolutely check out that site for tours! :)
The trip to Brussels is actually the start of our two week, four country journey.
Are there any other tour companies that might run waterloo tours while my friend and I will be there? :)
Thanks again! :)

No, and even the onsite visitors%26#39; centre doesn%26#39;t open until April. However, you could try contacting the Waterloo Tourist Office to find out whether a local guide could take you from there, you can get to Waterloo from Brussels by bus W from outside the Hotel Ibis in Avenue Fonsny opposite the Gare du Midi. It stops right outside the Waterloo Tourist Office, across the road from the Wellington Museum. For the actual battlefield, on the other hand, you would have to take the same bus W from Waterloo to Mont St. Jean where the lion mount is. If you are history buffs, you could arrange to be met by a guide there or it may be possible for the Tourist Office to arrange for a car and guide from Waterloo itself. If you are not history buffs I have to warn you there is not all that much to see and what you do see is not easy to understand, but in my (admittedly far from recent) experience, the De Boeck%26#39;s guides only give you the bare bones anyway.
