I cannot determine where the town with restaurants %26amp; shopping is.
I am trying to pick a hotel near the sea within walking distance of restaurants etc. I cannot tell whether the Marina area near Hotel Ter Kade is a desireable spot or the Area near the Casino - Best Western Imperial etc. Looking for a safe lively location with a breeze.
We are traveling with a teenager.
Any help appreciated. BK

The heart of Ostende is between the Casino (Kursaal) and Wapenplein, see www.oostende.net/hotels/georgeV/index.html
The Marina area is to the East of the centre, see hotels-belgie.be/belgium/hotels/hotel_uk.php… (click on %26quot;show map%26quot; and then if you click West, Wapenplein will come into view so you can see it isn%26#39;t all that far away).
