Carnival Holiday???

HI,



Another Poster mentioned this Holiday, I%26#39;m Arrivign in Belgium on th 19th to travel to bruges for 3 nights. Wil there be stuff going on around this time? Where can I find out more information?

To most of us, %26quot;carnival%26quot; merely means %26quot;school holidays%26quot;. Carnival events in Belgium mostly take place in the East of the country, the most famous are Binche and Stavelot.

I know of nothing carnival-related in Brugge but the obvious source for more information would be the Tourist Office http://www.brugge.be/internet/en/index.htm.

The best Carnival is in Aalst. Really for locals though it is massive and lasts for 3 days. If you are a man dress up as a woman and get very drunk! This weekend...
