The only ones I know of that are free are at Beermania (www.beermania.be) and a Turkish restaurant, with café upstairs, near the Sablon, called Taka, www.takarestaurant.be.

Coffee Club in rue du Bailli used to have wifi and used to be free but I don%26#39;t know whether either was maintained when it was refurbished last year.

FNAC%26#39;s café, on the top floor of City 2 shopping centre, at Rogier, has wifi but it isn%26#39;t free. Not sure what the situation is at the internet café in Place de la Vieille Halle aux Blés, just off Place St. Jean - I forget its name but you can%26#39;t miss it, it%26#39;s just after the tea shop - or in the lobbies of hotels with internet terminals, like the Sheraton at Rogier.

Theoretically, anywhere within 300m of one of the many wifi masts/information stations (%26quot;bornes%26quot;) put up by the city in recent years should allow you to tune in, e.g. Fat Boys Sports Café is near the one in Place du Luxembourg; but when I tried in my area (Mérode) it didn%26#39;t seem to be working.
