Novotel Brugge Centrum

Would people recommend the Novotel Brugge Centrum? I%26#39;m looking for a central, nice hotel with a decent breakfast.

Also, I know this may be an obvious question, but if you book a package deal to Bruges, is it far to get from the Eurostar in Brussels to Bruges?

Thanks!

Dear,

Novotel Brugge is like everywhere in the world. Standard Novotel rooms, I stayed there for work once.

There are more charming (small) hotels in Brugge, but this depends yr preference, on how much you like to psend and on availabilies.

For trains: +/- 1 hour, check on:

There are regular trains, it is departing station Brussels Midi/South. That is the station were Eurostar arrives.

Enjoy!

If you want a plain functional hotel with no character of the area but one you will be familiar with, then the novotel is for you. If you want character that reflects the best of the place you are staying then go for De Tuilerieen, Orangerie, Heritage, Prinsenhof - they all have different character but are well maintained and all serve excellent buffet breakfasts. Of course these are all more expensive than the Novotel. At a similar price and nearby is the Academie but it does tend to cater for coach groups...Other good ones with a bit of character are the Navarra and Flanders.

Personally I think you are better booking a package - you will tend to get better prices. try www.leisuredirection.co.uk (they have an excellent 1st Class Upgrade offer fom 1 May) or on Eurostar%26#39;s site (there you are booking with Expedia).

At Brussels Midi/Zuid there are regular trains every 20 mins or so to Brugge that take under an hour - tix are included in Eurostar ticket.
