Anybody got any comments on which hotel is the best to stay in? Want nice accommodation with a good breakfast, doesn%26#39;t have to be right on top of grand place. Also which would be the least noisy at night.

Neither is particularly noisy: although the Méridien is right opposite the Central Station, trains are underground and you do not hear them at all. Given its location, it would be the more convenient if you want to get there by public transport from the airport and also if you want to take any day trips by train from Brussels.
I can testify to the qualify of the breakfast buffet at the Méridien but as I have never set foot in the Jolly Hotel, cannot compare the two. Don%26#39;t know whether any of the reviews under %26quot;Brussels Hotels%26quot; (on the left) comment on this aspect.

I stayed at le Meridien in January for business. It was a very nice place, staff was exceptional. I did partake of the breakfast buffet- it was delicious as well. I%26#39;d definitely stay there if I ever went back I didn%26#39;t have a car, took the train in from the airport and just walked to all the nearby sites to explore.
Best of luck!

I just noticed that the Jolly Hotel gets good reviews for its breakfast except that it isn%26#39;t included in the price:
