Going to brussels....first time!

Hi guys

I am coming to Brussels this weekend for the first time, my friend is driving up there. I know nothing about Brussels…so I would like you all to give me some tips, list of attractions etc. I will be staying at the Eurostars Brussels…which I can’t see on this site, so please tell me if its nice..

Also I wanted to know what the weather has been like and good things to do on the Saturday, places to eat etc.

My top recommendation apart from the Grand%26#39; Place and Galeries St. Hubert would be the Musical Instrument Museum, but given the weather forecast (see below), the view from the rooftop café should be better on Sunday rather than Saturday.

As for the Eurostars hotel, there are 2 of them: the Eurostars Royal Embassy Grand%26#39; Place and the Eurostars Montgomery, I am sure you will find something under %26quot;Brussels hotels%26quot; (also on the left) under those specific names. If you are staying at the Montgomery Hotel, I have only eaten there but yes it is very nice although not in the town centre (but right next to Montgomery metro station). If it is the Royal Embassy, it is more central but not in the nicest of locations, see map on hotels-belgium.com/brussel-center/royalembas…

I do not think you will have any problem finding places to eat, and there are plenty of recommendations in the Brussels forum already (also with regard to where NOT to eat, i.e. rue des Bouchers), I suggest you look at those and then ask for more specific recommendations if you can narrow down what you want e.g. by location, type of cuisine.
