We%26#39;re going to Belgium for 5 days at the beginning of July and have booked a hotel in Brugge for 3 nights but we%26#39;re looking for somewhere else to stay for 2 nights (Sunday-Tuesday). Which towns (within only an hour or two of Brugge) are worth visiting, and can anyone recommend a hotel?
We like art and architecture and good food and beer. We will be driving, so will need a hotel with parking, and lots of charm, maybe something a bit quirky? (preferably not a faceless international chain) and around €100 per night.

It would take you about one hour to drive from Brugge to Ieper. Although this isn%26#39;t a recommendation (for those you can check the list of hotels on the left-hand side of the TA forum for any city/area you select, which contains reviews by TA users), you could look into this hotel:
