Taking grandma back to her home land Belgium for birthday. Looking for suggestions on hotels to look at in Ghent. Want good location and good price. We are a group of four that will include a 20 year old and 80 year old. Help? Thanks

Ibis, Novotel and Sofitel are smack dab in the middle of it all in Gent.

If your grandmother likes smaller hotels I would advise hotel Harmony, charming but trendy. www.resto.be/ware/details.jsp…
The new Marriott opens in may and has a marvelous location. I do not know when you are visiting but avoid the period around mid July since you grandma would not survive the large crowds of the city festival (Gentse Feesten).

Ghent Marriott has openend! Best location in town and friendly and personal service. The combination of consistent service and %26quot;couleur locale%26quot; make this hotel unique. Look at www.marriottghent.com
