Hello, I know these hotels both have good ratings on TA but was wondering if anyone has actually been to them or knows the neighborhoods. We can stay at the Marriott for about 40 euros more per night is it worth it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

If I was coming here as a short-term visitor I would much rather be in the neighbourhood where the Marriott is (opposite the Bourse, around the corner from St. Géry, the fashion area of rue Dansaert, the mini-Chinatown area of rue Ste. Catherine..) and hardly 3 minutes walk from the Grand%26#39; Place) rather than the rather run-down surroundings of the Grande Cloche, but if price is important you could also consider the Welcome Hotel next to Ste. Catherine metro station.

Thank you gaminari, your input is much appreciated. Since we will be staying over Easter weekend, I think we should go with the Marriott. I read that the Grand Cloche was in a bit of a seedy area, this surprises me since the famous restaurant comme chez soi is there.

My fiancé and I are staying at the Brussels Marriott in 2 weeks time, only paying $149 a night for an upgraded room at a 5star hotel. – Incredible!
I was amazed by some of the Hotel deals we fond in Brussels… Paris is pretty freaking expensive though.
