Interested in taking a side trip for half a day to Waterloo. What%26#39;s the best way to get there? I%26#39;m staying near Grand Place at the Bourse metro station. Thanks!

to get to Waterloo (village), you could take the train from Bruxelles Central, direction Nivelles (it stops in Waterloo). Keep in mind that the Waterloo rail station if not in the center but 1 km away from the center.
Morever in Waterloo, excepted for Wellington%26#39;s HQ, there is not much to see, the battle (I suppose that%26#39;s what interests you) took place at 3-4 km away (oughly but not only, where there is the Butte du Lion and the battle%26#39;s museum/diorama, a bit disappointing), in Braine l%26#39;Alleud-Mont St Jean and around the area. Napoleon HQ was further away in Charleroi%26#39;s direction.
