My BF and I will be staying two nights in Brussels, which is a stop-over on our way from London to Amsterdam. We will be arriving on the Eurostar.
Is the Marriott or Le Meridien walking distance from the train station? Which is in a better location? Any other hotel suggestions that I am overlooking?
Thanks

Eurostar arrives at Gare Du Midi, which is not in walking distance from neither Le Meridien nor the Marriott. To reach them you can either take a train from there and stop at the Gare Centrale(Le Meridien is just opposite) or take the premetro, which is something not advisable if you have luggage and stop at Bourse, where Marriott is located. Otherwise, since it%26#39;s a short ride, you may get a taxi to the hotel.
Both hotels are nice, and their locations are equally central, in short walking distance from Grande Place. So i%26#39;d opt for the better deal.

The Marriott is about a 10 minute walk to Brussels Central station, and at the Metro station. It is in a good area with lots of food and bars, and a 2 minute walk to Grand Place.
Le Meridian is right across from the Brussels Central station. While good for location, my wife and I both commented that it would be a loud place to stay. It faces the front of the train station, so you%26#39;d have people coming and going all the time. There were fewer restaurants and bars in the immediate area.
My vote is for the Marriott.

Just to confuse matters, I recommend le Meridien. I always stay thre with a room overlooking the station and I%26#39;ve never been troubled by noise. And there%26#39;s plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. le Meridien is one of my favourite hotels in Europe - top class!

we stayed ast the Marriot this time last yr, there is a metro stop right outside! (which we used to %26amp; from the Eurostar Stn). Central Stn is too far to walk IMO. Grand Plus was a 5min walk -if that. we loved the Marriot - here%26#39;s my review.

Thanks for all the info. We were leaning toward the Marriott so this info has been very helpful.
