What should my fiancé and I expect from honeymooning in Brussels during Easter and a few days there after?
Will more shops, restaurants, pubs, and museums be closed because of the Holliday?
Any Easter sights to consider attending?
Cheers!

I have noticed that most museums are closed on Monday in Brussels, but I did notice that there was a lace museum open on Monday, I%26#39;d be happy to find the name if you are interested, but being that it is also Easter Monday, they might be closed as well. I did find two itineraries for %26quot; a day in Brussels %26quot; I pasted it below:
1. Wake up Brussels, Belgium
2. Marolles - Flee market at the Place du Jeu de balle
Quartier Marolles, Brussels, Belgium
Discover the most authentic neighborhood of Brussels. Every morning, on the “Place du jeu de balle”, a flea market takes place. Once you have found a vintage lamp or mirror, get a simple breakfast from one of the popular cafes around the place.
3. Grand Sablon
Sablon, Brussels, Belgium
Visit Notre Dame du Sablon, a masterpiece of neo-gothic architecture and enjoy one of the oldest neighborhood of Brussels, with beautiful old buildings. Get a look at antique shops and art galleries.
4. Try the finest chocolates in the world at Wittamer or Marcolini
Fine Belgian Chocolate boutiques
5. Lunch at the Pain Quotidien
Le Pain Quotidien is an organic bakery and communal table that was created in Brussels in the late 80s. Sells bread and pastries and serves tartines (open delicious sandwiches) and salads.
6. Walk to Palais de Justice and admire views from Place Poelaert
Justice Palace (Palais de Justice), Brussels, Belgium
7. Walk to Royal Palace (Palais Royal) and take a stroll across the Brussels park
Royal Palace (Palais Royal), Brussels, Belgium
The Palace of Justice, Brussels’ law courts is an imitation of ancient Greek-Roman style and it dominates the city skyline.
Neo-classical palace where the king of Belgium does not reside but works. Brussels Park is a nice little city park in front of the royal palace and place royale
8. Old England - Musical Instruments Museum
Musical Instruments Museum (Musee des Instruments de Musique), Brussels, Belgium
On your way down to the center of town, admire the Old England which now house the musical instruments museum.
9. Admire the cathedral of Saints Michel et Gudule
St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Michel et Ste-Gudule), Brussels, Belgium
Great example of gothic architecture from the 13th to 15th century, the magnificent cathedral is inspired by famous French cathedrals and has been restored in the 90s.
10. Visit the Art Nouveau Galeries Saint-Hubert
Les Galeries Saint Hubert, Brussels, Belgium
The Galeries Saint-Hubert are somptuous old-style, glass-roofed galeries in the center of town, boasting luxury shops, theaters, cafes and bookstores.
11. Get overwhelmed by the magnificent beauty of the Grand Place of Brussels Grand-Place, Brussels, Belgium
Considered one of the most beautiful medieval squares in Europe, the Grand Place is lthe heart of Brussels, where many historic buildings dating back from the 13th to 16th century are located.
12. Say hello to Manneken Pis Manneken Pis, Brussels, Belgium
Landmark of Brussels, although not so much interesting, this little statue of a boy peeing is a must-see for anyone visiting Brussels
13. Have a nice seafood dinner in one of the restaurants of the rue des bouchers Beenhouwersstraat / Rue des Bouchers, Brussels, Belgium Narrow cobblestone street near the Grand Place, lined with seafood
14.Nicely restored example of neoclassical architecture, the Monnaie/De Munt is the premier place of Belgium to enjoy opera performances
15. End a busy day with beer tasting at the Poechenellekelder, the Mort Subite or the Becasse
Poechenellekelder, Brussels, Belgium
1. Grande Place
http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/857
This is the main square, the four sides of which are created by outrageously
beautiful buildings -- a palace, a cathedral, etc. There are cafes
along its sides, and walking off any of the corners of the Grande Place
leads you to restaurants and more cafes. Just look for the tall,
golden-lit white spire to keep your bearing when you stray away from
the Grande Place.
2. Musee des Beaux Arts
Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium (Musees Royaux des Beaux Arts), Brussels, Belgium
A beautiful, peaceful, and meticulously planned and kept museum. Well worth a visit
3. The Brusells Park
Walk around this enormous, leafy park and see little ponds and perfectly arranged paths lined by orderly trees. A beautiful escape.
4. Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula
www.cathedralestmichel.be/eng/aumonerie.php…
A beautiful cathedral that%26#39;s worth a visit as you walk around the city. Even just seeing the outside is awe-inspiring and seems to enduce a feeling of peace.
5. Mussels in Brussells!
Do not forget to stop by a cafe and have some mussels in white wine or marinara sauce. Have a glass of wine and sit outside on one of the crowded streets and watch the sun set. But beware: shop around. Some places are much cheaper than others.
6. Gauffres de Bruxelles
Conclude your day with perhaps the most cliche thing of all: a Belgian Waffle.
Enjoy!

To answer the actual question (I%26#39;m sure I answered a similar one if not this exact one before), Easter Monday is a public holiday in Belgium but Good Friday is not. Therefore there will be no change to the normal situation in Brussels on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (museums open, shops shut except in Sablon/Marolles area and tourist shops) while on Monday both shops and museums will be closed, Monday being the usual closing day for most museums anyway. Pubs are rarely closed while certain restaurants - not so much those in the city centre - are in any case closed Saturday lunchtimes and Sundays. If you have any specific restaurant in mind you can check this on www.resto.be.
I know of no specific Easter sights in Brussels, there are some Easter egg hunts for children and an Easter fair (%26quot;kermesse%26quot;) in Jette but it doesn%26#39;t start until 20 April. There is also the BIFF film festival though that has nothing to do with Easter - although the body-painting contest on 7 April sounds like fun! www.bifff.org/index2.php…

Marcolini are good but not worth the price: I prefer Leonidas, much cheaper (4 to 1) and very good without the showiness of Marcolini/Neuhaus/Godiva.
