Could someone tell me how approximately how much the train fare would cost from Brugge to Brussels and Brugge to Ostend?
Staying in Brugge for 3 days and fancy a trip out to one or both of these other places, many thanks.

Hi Geordietom !
The fares depends on the age of the traveller. When you%26#39;re a traveller between 29-53 years old f.e. you pay for a return ticket Ostend-Bruges 6,80 € (4,61 £) and for a return ticket to Brussels (from Bruges) 24 € (16,2 £)
If you would consider on doing more trips (or travelling with 2 persons or more) you could consider buying a %26#39;railpass%26#39; for travelling 10 times (no matter where to in Belgium) which costs 69 €... (46 £) If you are a student or older person you pay less...
Hope you enjoy your stay in Belgium, greetings Duke

Note that at weekends (starting at 19.00 on Friday evening), return tickets are half price, e.g. instead of €24 between Brugge and Brussels, it would be €12, the same as the normal single fare.

Brugge to Ostend takes about 15 minutes, if I recall correctly.
For the journey back, I think that every train which leaves Ostend calls at Brugge, which is the next stop down the line.
Brugge to Brussels is about an hour.

Thank you very much for this, I used to visit Belgium at least twice a year, but have not been for around 15 years, can%26#39;t wait to return, Brugge was my idea for our first wedding anniversary, thanks again for the advice all, you have been a great help.
