I have now begun to book our honeymoon for this July...Itinerary as follows:
Paris----4 nights
Swiss Alps-----6 nights
Paris-----2 nights
Bruges----2 nights (giving us 1 1/2 days to sightsee, enjoy, RELAX after such a crazy week and a half, etc)
Brussels----1 night, the night before we leave
I would love to just hang out and relax in Bruges, especially coming off of Paris and the Alps. Is 1 1/2 days more than enough time to relax and just walk around? If we added an extra day, would that be too much and we would be bored? We do not want to do any day trips from Bruges other than renting a bike a riding out to Damme.
Advice anyone?

Hi,
I think as long as you don%26#39;t want to visit museums, churches etc., you%26#39;ll be ok. It%26#39;s a small city, so very easy to walk around. Get yourself a map. Make sure you see the two main squares - Markt and Burg - wander down to Minnewater (Lake of Love) via Hof are and Walplein, fit in Simon Stevinplein, St Amandstraat, and prettiest of all - Huidenvettersplein. In my opinion, you%26#39;ll have seen the most picturesque parts. This can be done easily, at a relaxed pace and with stops for drinks %26amp; food in the time you have.
All the best for your wedding and honeymoon!!

Ooops! Forgot to mention - it%26#39;s well worth doing a canalboat trip. Very inexpensive, very picturesque, extremely relaxing and only takes about 35-40 minutes.

Ooops again! - that should read %26#39;Hof area%26#39; in my first reply....

My sife and I spent three weeks in Europe and Bruges was the place we remember most fondly. We spent two full days, which was plenty, but I%26#39;m glad we had that amount of time. You will love it there.
