Visit to Luxembourg

We are a traditional american couple in the 50%26#39;s planning to visit Benelux this fall. In Luxembourg, any recommendations on places, hotels, etc?

The capital (Luxemburg city) is realy beautifull. I can also recommend you the little town Vianden (nice castle).

If you are traveling by car I suggest Enternach and Bastogne. Enternach has very nice gardens .....Bastogne is a Pro-American town famous in WWII and has a war Memorial %26amp; Musuem. Luxembourg town square (where there%26#39;s even a McDonalds)seems very nice also and they have Bus tours for approx $20 US which will show you all the sights

Sorry for previous post. I thought you were going to Ardennes-Luxembourg.

I can suggest you a very nice (non-tourist) hotel-restaurant. Trattoria di quatro.

003524025556. I stay there 1 day/week for the last 4 years.

The kichen is italian, but the real one (again no tourist food here). One thing -%26gt; It is not in the old center but like 500m from it.

I think I have eaten in all restaurants of Luxembourg the last 4 years. 1 tip: don%26#39;t eat at the place des armes or any other touristic place, just go 2 blocks further and you will see that prices are 30% less and the food is much better.

Don%26#39;t pay more than 110 euro for a room.

And please don%26#39;t go to any Mac Donalds. You%26#39;r not taken the plane to Europe to eat that kind of things. You want to eat local, real food.

(sorry but a lot of people in Europe don%26#39;t see hamburgers as food but as a thing you do when you go to the movies)

We are going as a family trip w. 9 people in August to LU city, Vianden %26amp; moselle areas , any suggestions for reasonable hotels, good restuarants etc.

I%26#39;m sorry but you are in the wrong forum, as I suspect Ansol was also. Belgium has a province called Luxembourg, the capital of which is Arlon and the chief sites for visitors are probably Bouillon and Bastogne.

If you are going to Vianden and Luxembourg city, you will be in the COUNTRY of Luxembourg, not the province in Belgium which this particular forum is for. You should therefore re-post this question in tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g190340-i789-Luxem…

The give-away as to whether you are in the forum for the country or the province is the path given after %26quot;Tripadvisor forums%26quot; at the top of the page, i.e. Europe forums - Luxembourg forums (= the country called Luxembourg), or Europe forums - Belgium forums - The Ardennes forums - Luxembourg forums (= the Belgian province).
