Hi,
My fiance and i are going to amsterdam for our honeymoon in October. We are planning on going for 10 days, and would like to do a second city for the last few days of the trip. We were originally thinking Brussels, but after reading other%26#39;s post, doesnt seem very interesting. Does anyone have other suggestions? Our latest ideas are Antwerp or Bruges, but we are open to new ideas. We want it to be close enough that it wont be a full day of traveling. Thanks.

Brussels is a great city to do daytrips from cause it%26#39;s very central.
If you stay in Amsterdam for 6 days -which in my opinion is plenty.
you could stay your last 4 days in Brussels, making day trips to Antwerp, Gent and Brughes. I think Gent shouldn%26#39;t be left out as it is a beautiful city and ofter overlooked.
Esp in the evening near the river with all the lights is very romantic.. as you are going on your honeymoon.
On www.b-rail.be you can check out trainschedules - it%26#39;s also in English.
It%26#39;s all not that far from eachother.
If you have any other questions I%26#39;d be happy to help out

As you are on honeymoon, Brugge would be the more romantic of the 2, and I especially like it in the Autumn; but from Amsterdam the train trip will take you 3 1/2 hours each way, changing in Antwerpen-Berchem, so you are really talking about half a day there anyway. I would not personally consider Antwerp more interesting than Brussels (though Amboseli might disagree!) so if you have dismissed one I don%26#39;t know why you would consider the other worth visiting from Amsterdam. I presume you are already planning trips to Delft and Leiden?
